The Print Space in London held an ever called Whats Next this was aimed at university students and post graduates. The themes I went to was fashion and advertising.
My notes are as follows:

- Best to put a digital portfolio on a iPad showing your style
- Don't have a mix of everything be specific
- Don't tailor portfolio to commercial keep it personal and passionate
- Agencies own the rights to moving image at the moment
- People shoot sponsored ads for instagram
- Shoot free ONLY to raise profile
- Good book reviewed
- No less than 20 images in portfolio but no more than 50

- As an assistant you get to work on shoots you normally don't as a early photographer

- Set day rates high in industry standards
- rates as an assistant: 1 day free, £150-300 a day after
- Add a image to your email
- say you'll call up if they are to busy then say you will call back later
- mention passport and/or driving licence on CV
- Editorial work tends to be free
- Commercial work £200 - 2000 a day
- ALWAYS keep copyrights!
- Shoot and test weekly and daily to extend ability
