Sainsburys Center for Visual Arts

Went to Sainsburys Centre for Visual Arts to see a photography exhibition it was called Points of Departure www.scva.ac.uk/art-and-artists/exhibitions/points-of-departure which is about migrants of West Africa about the empty space of the families left behind, particularly the images by Hélène Amouzou the self portraits she uses a double exposure to create the dynamic effect and emotional feeling of someone fading away. Amouzous photography is really personal looking at it i feel like i can't talk as it seems rude.

The other photos that caught my eye was a few by Mamadou Gomis and his use of leading lines are taking toy straight to the point Gomis is saying here you should be looking and LOOK!
He also uses compositions using light and the environment to frame his images, which has a natural feel to them and encourage you to 'look here and over here'
