Before planning to go to Japan I discovered Takashi Murakami a contemporary artist from Tokyo. As I was researching Murakami's work I saw he had an exhibition Mori Art Museum so I had to go experience his work in person, which was such a good discussion as I could see the details in his work that I couldn't see from images from the internet, this gave me more appreciation for his work. seeing his art in the vast scale the work is intended for the art holds you there longer, Murakami's art is chaotic so you have so much to look at you don't want to miss anything, his series influential movement Superflat make me think I'm looking at anime and manga on acid!
